According to Ethan Greenberg from nyjets.com, RB Isaiah Crowell, CB Trumaine Johnson, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, WR Charone Peake and CB Buster Skrine did not have their helmets – looking as if they wont practice. Charon Peake has already been ruled out by coach Bowles making this the third straight week without Peake. Hopefully we see him next week against the Vikings as we will need all hands on deck, even if he is only a special teams contributor.
As for Skrine and Tru I’d be very surprised to see them playing this Sunday, in my opinion I would give Tru the extra week to rest his quad and continue his rehab. We will need him back next week when Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen come to town. Skrine is in concussion protocol and has an “alarming” history with concussions according to Todd Bowles, so he might not even be eligible to play anyway.
I do expect to see the others playing this week but maybe not a full game, especially Isaiah Crowell – who is dealing with a sore ankle. If he is active expect to see him in a limited role with Bilal Powell receiving a majority of the carries. None of these injuries are concerning, if Truamaine Johnson doesn’t come back next week I will become concerned with his availability on a week to week basis moving forward throughout the season.
