Jets Thursday Injury Report – “Vikings Week”

According to Ethan Greenberg from nyjets.com, DL Leonard Williams and WR Robby Anderson were back at practice today after not participating yesterday, I fully anticipate these guys playing.  RB Isaiah Crowell was back at practice but was not wearing a helmet, I anticipate him playing – he’s having a similar practice week as last week. Some of the players who weren’t at practice were expected, Safety Marcus Maye, WR Quincy Enunwa, CB Trumaine Johnson and CB Buster Skrine.

We all obviously expected Maye and Enunwa not to be present as we learned this week they will both be out a few weeks with respected thumb and ankle injuries. As for Trumaine Johnson and Buster Skrine we all were holding out hope they would be back on the field for our match up against the Vikings. Buster Skrine has an extensive history with concussions so his recovery will be closely monitored. As for Trumaine I personally would have liked him back this week for obvious reasons, but I guess his quad strain was worse then I anticipated. Even though this is a big match-up against the Vikings to close out our 3 game home-stand we have a lot of season left, so making sure these guys come back 100% healthy and staying on the field down the stretch is most important.

With Marcus Maye now out along with Skrine and Johnson, our secondary is really going to be tested this week against Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. This will again test Todd Bowles and how he will adjust his defense for life without key members in the back end. As for Quincy not being able to go, I trust Jeremy Bates will find ways to scheme up a successful offensive attack – we did it all of last year and have better depth. This weeks game should be a real test but hopefully an exciting one.
